Leprosy
Tuberculid and dimorphous leprosy
Fully developed
Superficial and deep perivascular infiltrate of lymphocytes mostly
Granulomas composed of epithelioid histiocytes appearing elongated because they follow neurovascular plexuses throughout the reticular dermis
Moderately dense infiltrates of lymphocytes, accompnied sometimes by plasma cells, around collections of epithelioid histiocytes; some histiocytes with foamy cytoplasm
Lymphocytes and histiocytes sometimes present within small nerve fascicles, especially those positioned in the deep reticular dermis
Dense lymphoplasmacytic infiltrates surrounding adnexal structures |
